With Canada Day only two days away, my craft spree came a tad late! But I had some time and lots of inspiration and its amazing what you can do when time and inspiration line up!
Just in case you are inspired to get your Canada Day craft on, I’ve got a series of Canada Day crafts you can put together just in time for Friday’s festivities.
Canada Day just isn’t a celebration without a few Canadian flags to wave around. If you didn’t have time to run out and grab some, don’t fret, you can download them and 1-2-3 you’ve got a couple flags to wave around.
All you need is my Canada Day Flags DIY Printable which is available for free on Scribd, a couple lollipop sticks, dowels or length of bamboo, a bit of tape and a hole punch. Then you just need to follow this tutorial. It’s really quite self-explanatory.
See, super easy! I displayed my flags in a jam jar layered with red and white gum balls, well, because if I can incorporate gum balls you know I will! But gum balls keep the flags stable too. Yes, yes they do.
Put together a handful of these and use them as centerpieces on your tables, or just leave them scattered around your backyard for spontaneous flag waving urges or leave one at the front door so as you make your way to the fireworks, you can grab one on your way out.
You could also print out 20 of these flags and string them together to make a banner, decorate your house or backyard. They’re pretty versatile.
Head on over to Scribd and grab your easy DIY flags!
Happy crafting to you!
